Research:
Since more than ten years, Yoan Miot's research focus on French shrinking cities, with an emphasis on housing. He studies the means by which political actors and housing authorities embraces the challenges specific to shrinking cities. Such as vacancy of spaces and buildings, demand decrease, and difficulties to attract new populations and inhabitants. Yoan Miot has conducted his studies in several cities: Vitry-le-François, Ambert, Dunkerque, Saint-Etienne, Roubaix, etc.
